With the further development of the ThinkTop® V55, Alfa Laval is setting new standards in sensor and control units for diaphragm valves in hygienic industries – especially the next-generation pharmaceutical, biotech and food industries. The device builds on the ThinkTop V-Series technology, which is already in use by dairy, food and beverage manufacturers worldwide. The sensor and control unit is easy to set up, reliable, highly automated and allows live exchange options as well as real-time communication.
Unprecedented security
The ThinkTop V55 offers users unprecedented security even in critical production processes: with its durable, maintenance-free design, it is designed to ensure reliable performance even in the most demanding environments. It maximizes uptime and productivity with integrated self-diagnostics and is safe against tampering.
Paw Kramer, Portfolio Manager, Valves and Automation at Alfa Laval explains: "With its advanced features and compact design, the ThinkTop V55 sets a new standard for diaphragm valve monitoring and control, optimizing performance and efficiency."
Easy commissioning and live replacement
The ThinkTop V55 enables fast, reliable installation and speedy commissioning. Automatic on-site setup takes less than a minute, while live setup, which allows for quick remote configuration of valves, takes just a minute or two. The replacement or hot-swapping of control units can be carried out without interrupting production. This increases operational and product safety.
Compact, flexible and clearly visible
The ThinkTop V55's slim profile makes the most of space and allows for effortless integration into new or existing installations. It can be easily mounted on the valve actuator in any position. In addition, the ThinkTop offers a 360° visual LED status indicator, so the position of the valve is clearly visible from any position.
Next-generation control for Industry 4.0
The ThinkTop V55 enables real-time monitoring of diaphragm valves via digital, ASI 3.0 or IO-Link interfaces, ensuring accurate detection of valve position. The IO-Link communication protocol connects sensors and actuators in any automation system. This integration makes it easier to collect, store, analyze, and process meaningful real-time data, supporting Industry 4.0 initiatives and optimizing configurability and process control.
